The Problem Abstract: A shock elimination vote turns three duos on their heads

The twisty premiere of The Challenge: Double Agents last week revealed the possibility of stealing partners, and in the Wednesday episode that possibility became a reality.

When the dust settled from the fierce battle of the first elimination (read the full premiere recap here), victorious challenger Natalie made the right decision. She could keep her partner, mate with Lone Wolf CT, or steal every male candidate in the game except double agent Fessy.

When Episode 2 starts, the Survivor Champion decides to compete with bearded ginger Wes, though Lolo sure makes a solid point: "Natalie doesn't see the big picture … you're out because of Wes!" Although Nat decided against making waves, another challenger turns the game upside down by the end of the episode … but more on that later.

CT is now becoming a "rogue agent" and the next elimination will determine its partner. The real world: Paris alum later crawls at Kam & # 39; s feet. He regrets not having chosen her and admits that her political game gets to the point. Kam is fully responsible for controlling the elimination and tells him he wouldn't have been down there if he had picked her. She is brave in her convictions, but she is right.

Leroy isn't very pleased. His show of strength failed, and he hoped CT would follow Ashley straight out of the crater. As for Wes' opinion on the play, "You unnecessarily woke sleeping giants … you will be my ultimate enemies."

Meanwhile, Nany isn't convinced that Kyle is her best option for a partner. "I love Kyle, but he's not exactly the competitor I'd want by my side," she says, a little forward-looking.

CHALLENGE ENABLED | For their next mission, "Ice Spy", the duos must swim in the icy cold Icelandic water to remove a block of ice from a boat. Back they have to smash the block with a pick to free a "kill" and then place it in another team's station. Three kills and you're out. The last standing team wins. As a rogue and partnerless agent, CT has to suspend

Wes and Natalie are the first to be taken out, then Leroy wastes a kill with the already eliminated Wes! (LEROY, WTF, MAN! What an embarrassing move.)

Mechie is DQs because he's almost frozen to death. (Kudos to Fessy for stopping his game to help the guy.) Kam and Josh are next, followed by Big T and Joseph, and Devin and Nicole. For some reason, no one is killing Fessy and Aneesa's station as the placements become slower and more strategic. "I've never seen a group of challengers play a frightened game," says Devin, while Kyle describes the madness as "pathetic." All the confusion leads to another win for Fessy / Aneesa. Fessy says he has numbers in this game … that he realizes could hurt him in the future. Regardless, last week's double agents remain the front runners.

STRATEGY SESH " | Joseph wants to nominate himself (?) So he can get his golden skull (OK, good), but he wants to compete against … Wes !? (Huh?) Wes asks Fessy, Cory, and Nelson to make him the "janitor" of their operation, but he quickly swings that argument into a ploy for the "CEO" spot and everyone laughs. Keeping a big goal indoors might help the Young Bucks, but as CT mentions, he doesn't want to swim next to a drowning man. (By the way: It's interesting how the tide turned. For years all Johnny Bananas ran rampant and win season after season. But now it's kind of tough for vets CT and Wes! I agree with Leroy: It's time for new champions are crowned.)

Devin and Kyle discuss how to let Joseph do the house vote. They think if Wes comes in and wins a skull, he'll be back with Natalie. CT is going to acquire Big T, and that would give Devin and Kyle more numbers in their favor. Kyle has no problem lying to Fessy about his voice, but he doesn't know the double agents know he's lying!

After the argument with Joseph, it is clear that Big T is not having it with her partner. She decides to plot against him and try to throw him in so she can upgrade to CT. Smart girl!

CONSIDERATION | Joseph vies for the opportunity to take on Wes and lets his mouth go so bad that Natalie and Wes knock the tower over with a few pens. After all the votes have been calculated, the compromised agents are confirmed: It's Big T and Joseph.

Aneesa and Fessy resent the house expecting them to do their dirty work. They are considering making Wes a business, and are even considering sharing with him the classified information that they are familiar with.

THE CRATER | TJ reveals the results, and when it comes time for the double agents to choose their nomination, Fessy misses the chance to go down. Instead, they throw a curveball and choose Kyle and Nany in place of the expected Wes and Natalie. It's a male elimination week, so Joseph and Kyle compete against each other in the Ring of Spies. In the pass, the opponents must push one ring away from the other and place it on their bar. (Yes. Fessy definitely missed a shot at a light skull.)

Before the game, Joseph licks mustard to avoid cramps (?), But no spice in Iceland could prepare him for the heat that Kyle brings on Round 1. Joseph attacks Kyle a couple of times in Round 2, but the Briton ultimately wins the elimination and his golden skull. (CT then delivers this gold: "Professor Kyle gets Colonel Mustard out in the crater with the hula hoop.") When Kyle has to choose a partner, he infiltrates Kam and steals him, which annoys Josh. TJ then gives Josh the option to work with Big T or Nany (he chooses the latter) so BT can drive with CT.
