LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy Hosts NTS Radio Present: Pay attention

LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy hosted a two-hour radio show on NTS yesterday, playing a selection of songs that influenced DFA. The show, made for the launch of a Carhartt podcast series, features an assortment of new wave and kosmische including classics by Suicide, Terry Riley, Cabaret Voltaire, and Aphrodite’s Child as well as onetime DFA artist Pylon. Murphy last emerged from his various New York business enterprises to support the Save Our Stages act, an initiative designed to bolster venues as the pandemic ravages the live music industry. Last year, he opened a café in Brooklyn.
