Over a decade after it went airborne, In Treatment is back.
HBO has released the first trailer for In treatment Season 4 with the new star of the series, Uzo Aduba. The show that previously starred Gabriel Byrne as Dr. Paul Weston ended its three seasons in 2010. But HBO revived the series for season four with 24 episodes in May.
In the new iteration of In Treatment, Aduba will be used as therapist Dr. Brooke Lawrence to be seen. The show will air two episodes each week as we see Lawrence in therapy with her various patients. This fourth season includes Anthony Ramos (Hamilton), Liza Colon-Zayas (The Purge: Election Year), John Benjamin Hickey (The big C), Quintessa Swindell (Travelers) and Joel Kinnaman (The suicide commission).

In Treatment ran for 106 episodes for the first three seasons and won Emmy Awards Dianne Wiest and Glynn Turmanand won Gabriel Byrne a Golden Globe. The show’s final season also received a nomination for Best Television Series – Drama at the Golden Globes, and won a Peabody Award in 2009.
HBO announced in 2011 that the series would not be returning for a fourth season, but that the network was discussing bringing it back in a different format. Over a decade later, HBO appears to have finally brought the critically acclaimed series back.
In Treatment’s return is also the return of Aduba to television after it appeared on Netflix Orange is the new black for seven seasons and received a Primetime Emmy Award and a Critics’ Choice Television Award for her performance as Shirley Chisholm on the miniseries Mrs. America. If that first trailer is any clue, Aduba looks like she more than does justice to the role of the star in this popular series.
In Treatment will premiere on May 23 on HBO and HBO Max. The series will air new episodes every Sunday and Monday. Check out the first trailer for In Treatment Season Four below.
