Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Wraps is filming this week

After months of production, Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness is now in the final week of filming, confirms Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. Feige revealed that filming in the sequel to Doctor Strange was almost over as he discussed the scope and scale of the small screens running, Disney + projects like The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Loki.

“The idea was to go back and forth – that we didn’t create two classes of storylines or two classes of productions. And now I think people saw WandaVision and four out of six [episodes] From Falcon and Winter Soldier and the Loki trailer, you can see that these are A-class productions – just as big and just as important as the films. I’m here in London on the set of Doctor Strange 2 for our last week and Lizzie is here after working non-stop, from packing WandaVision to getting into Doctor Strange 2. ”

Main photography for the MCU episode began on November 4, 2020 in London. Elizabeth Olsen reportedly shot in a row with WandaVision. Filming has been postponed from an initial launch date in May 2020 due to the ongoing global situation, but luckily, things have finally gotten back on track and are about to close.

While specific details of the plot are largely unknown, in the Multiverse of Madness, Doctor Strange will obviously introduce audiences to a previously unexplored side of the MCU, the Multiverse. In the film, Benedict Cumberbatch will repeat the role of Sorcerer Supreme again, with Chiwetel Ejiofor also returning as friend-foe Karl Mordo.

Scott Derrickson, who led the first Doctor Strange, was initially to lead the Multiverse follow-up. After Derrickson resigned, Sony’s Spider-Man director Sam Raimi was brought in and brought in Spider-Man staff Danny Elfman to compose the film’s score.

Kevin Feige spiced up a more substantial horror element in Doctor Strange in the Multiversum of Madness, no doubt thanks in part to the attitude of Raimi. While Feige made it clear that the film won’t be an outright horror film, he described the project as a “big MCU movie with creepy sequences” and compared the film to the likes of Raiders of the Lost Ark, Gremlins, and Poltergeist. Feige also revealed that the introduction of the Multiverse would be “the next step in the evolution of the MCU,” and said the film would “break wide”, affecting the Disney + series and upcoming films at Marvel Studios ” Phase four board.

Just as Doctor Strange will have an impact on the broader MCU in the Multiverse of Madness, so will WandaVision in Doctor Strange 2. WandaVision’s creator and lead writer Jac Schaeffer dragged Wanda Maximoff into the film and said, “From where I am sitting, the intention was to land Wanda in this place of acceptance, but also with this tremendous amount of new strength , and we all know the saying “With great power …” And so I also think that her exchange with Agatha exists. With so much self-confidence, she steps into herself so fully that the enormity of her power some in my eyes raises normal human concerns about what is right and what is wrong because she is that being that is so, so different. “

Doctor Strange in the Multiversum of Madness is set to be released on March 25, 2022 as part of the fourth phase of the MCU in the United States. This comes to us courtesy of The Undefeated.
