Buzzy Cohen is going to be some of Jeopardy’s best players! Invite you to join us when he hosts next month’s Tournament of Champions.

In the episodes, which will air May 17-28, 15 top competitors (see below) will compete for the grand prize of US $ 250,000, which will be awarded by the Trebek Center for the Homeless in Hope of the Valley and is donated. (Named after the late Jeopardy! Host, the Trebek Center supports up to 300 people per year with accommodation, psychiatric services, vocational training and placement, substance abuse counseling and much more.)

Cohen first appeared on the Quizzer in 2016 when he made $ 164,603 in winnings in nine games. He returned to win the Tournament of Champions in 2017 and served as team captain for the show’s All-Star Games in 2019. (Since he has to work closely with the writers and producers of Jeop !, due to his hosting responsibilities, Cohen is no longer eligible to participate in regular tournaments.)

“Buzzy has been where each of these champions are, so it’s comforting to see a familiar face behind the lectern for attendees,” executive producer Mike Richards said in a statement. “We’ll miss him, but we look forward to seeing him use his quick wit and personality as an innkeeper.”

The Tournament of Champions consists of players who have won the most games since the previous Tournament of Champions, as well as the recent winners of the teachers’ tournament and college championship.
