The world of hip hop has lost another legendary rapper. MTO News has confirmed that Black Rob died in an Atlanta hospital today, Saturday, April 17th. His death was also confirmed by an Instagram post from New York promoter Van Silk. In the Post he said “We lost another member of the hip hop family” while referring to Rob.
Rob was in an Atlanta hospital when he succumbed to his illness, which has not yet been disclosed.
Before his death, however, Rob had several stays in the hospital – he was rushed to the hospital last week because he was suffering from it Breathing disorder.
At the hospital, Black Rob explained to fans how bad his health had gotten. Legend stated that he had 4 strokes in the last 5 years.
And it wasn’t just his health that was in poor shape, but his finances as well. Black Rob, who signed to Bad Boy in 1996 and released his mega-hit single “Whoa” in 2000, was having a hard time. In the same tone Black Rob was heard saying that he “has no house to live”.
Black Rob is survived by four children, Kayli, Rianna, Diamond and Million.
