What exactly is Plato's Closet and how does it function?
Plato's Closet organizes an annual auction of clothes and household items that benefit the Whaley Center. The event is free and open to all. It takes place the 20th of January on a Saturday between 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The sale this year offers an array of products that include clothing for women, men and kids; furniture; bedding; housewares; and accessories. Additionally, there's a huge collection of books, DVDs and music CDs.
The earnings from Plato's Clothet aid in the Whaley Center's programs as well as services which promote education, art, and culture.
